5 Fantastic Bedroom Moves That You Can Try Today
By Stephanie Buehler, Psy.D.
Want to make your partner purr with pleasure? It's easy if you know about the erogenous zones. Body parts rich with nerve endings are erogenous zones. Known for their sensitivity, these zones bring extra pleasure. Besides the obvious, there are other wonderful areas for you to explore. As a sex therapist, people do complain to me that their partners sometimes are clueless about how to proceed with foreplay. Moves like this can make foreplay more exciting, and exploring one another's bodies in this way can bring added intimacy.
1. Lips. Sexy and soft, playing with a partner's lips can be a turn-on for both of you. Of course, you can go beyond a smack or a French kiss. Try sucking your partner's lower lip into your mouth. Or run your tongue around your partner's mouth, just on the inside where lip meets mouth. Or just on the outside, all around the outline. Bite or nibble upper or lower lip gently. Use a finger to touch your partner's lips, again tracing outlines.
2. Fingers. Fingers are overlooked as erogenous zones. The entire surface of the hand is incredibly sensitive. Use your own fingertips to trace around the center of your partner's palm. Gently stroke the underside of the fingers lengthwise. Rub your thumb in a circular fashion around the pads of flesh on the palm at the base of each finger.
3. Feet and toes. Feet and toes are ticklish, but they are also centers for pleasure. Many people like their feet rubbed. A sensual massage can send your partner into bliss. Try adding a little bit of peppermint oil to some unscented massage oil or lotion for a bit of coolness. Some people like to have oral play with feet. If you do, don't be embarrassed-feet are very sexy!
4. Ears. Ears are sensitive, too. People often like to have their ears licked or nibbled. Some people enjoy a tongue thrust into the ear; others do not. Experiment and see what makes your partner wiggle with delight.
5. Scalp. This is a surprising erogenous zone, but the scalp has many nerve endings. Use the pads of your fingertips to give your partner a massage. Or, gently stroke your partner's forehead and all around the hairline.
You can probably think of some other fun areas to explore on your partner's body. Don't be inhibited! Relax first, then take your time to tickle your partner's fancy. One additional advantage: You and your partner now have an easy, fun way to spice things up when making love gets dull.
